Article source: Kotaro Horiuchi Architecture “Membrane in Stratum” is an installation that wraps around the interior space. The concept of human activity is emphasised by the graduation of translucency through the membrane. The membrane regulates depth and boundaries. We can divide the room in many ways by the penetration, reflectance and absorption of light. We can change the function of the room at our will. A dynamic space is born from the shadows that reflect of the membrane surface and vibrantly decorate the room.
