Article source: Karolina Wierzbinska The master’s postulates a design of a new jetty with a café in Kołobrzeg and rearranging the adjoining area. The project is the solution for a current problem i.e. insufficient presentation of a landscape quality. Thoroughly analysed and evaluated, the plan guarantees functionality of the jetty and its surroundings. The urban concept gives an example of rearranging the district containing the jetty, creating representative public spaces, improving the main scenic pedestrian zone confined by the new service buildings and solving current communication problems.
The project is an alternative to the contemporary form of the jetty and the nearby quarter. It is also designed to highlight the connection between these two places and to harmonise them with remaining quarters. Additionally, the area covered in the project would become not only recreational but also representative for the spa city – Kołobrzeg. Contact Karolina Wierzbinska
