The commission was given after winning the competition were the office was invited for together with the offices ofKoppert + KoenisArchitecten, Broekbakema, Jeanne DekkersArchitectuur and BDG Architecten.
The new building will includes multi-purposes ports hallfor diverse sport activities and educational purposes, a community center, and diverse multifunctional areas.The design for the competition expresses the first ideas and intentions for a sustainable, transparent and green ‘landscaped’ building. The architects will work together with the client and the different tenants towards a final design in the forthcoming months. The start of the execution of the building is planned for 2014.
