Article source: Prokofyev-Archigroup At the crossing of the transport routes in the cities, where there is constant presence of people and their movement, there is formed certain public space, which has its own especial atmosphere. Usually, stations in any country of the world, in any city, both bus and railway, arouse people’s typical formed stereotypes. And what if they are all identical? Same dowel, same rails and typical bulkheads over them. That is why each station should have its own unique appearance, its own atmosphere.
The Project proposes to reconstruct the following points: 1. bus station bulkhead, 2. dowel bulkhead, 3. passage over the railway track. Each of these three elements has its own solution, but at the same time, all of them represent together the component part of the common composition. In our Project we have for an object the creation of dynamic, integral and at the same time light, full of air composition. The bus station bulkhead includes metal frame and semitransparent cover. It has monolithic, zigzagging shape, repeating the lines of platforms. At the same time the level differences create dynamic, nonrecurring composition from different points of perception. The dowel bulkhead consists of metal supports, ropes and Cembrit sheets. The metal supports location with random step has small deviation angle from vertical line. Between the supports there are fixed guy lines in order one group of lines may create strict line, starting out of the dowel and gradually lifting, passing along landing platform and reaching its utmost development above the bus station. Another group of lines is fixed in more random manner, creating triangles of irregular shape. These triangles-sails are filled at small distances with Cembrit sheets of two colors (URBANNATURE-408 Cembrit Fusion Coated Chocolate-df new2, URBANNATURE 405 Cembrit Fusion Glazed Pine-df), through their fixation to ropes. Each triangle has its own width of sheet and its own step. In the same manner, but in smaller scale and with vertical direction there is formed decorative shield at the opposite side of the dowels. The proposed barrier has aesthetic function and ensures partial noise reduction. The proposed construction creates through simple solution unusual composition, as well as complicated space, light and shadow dancing. The passage above the railway tracks is proposed to be covered up with the material with mirror surface from the outside and transparent from the inside, preserving at the same time the old shape. In addition, the passages are covered from the outside with frame, made of C-shaped curb rolls, produced from Cembrit ((URBANNATURE 306 Cembrit True Urulu-df). The block above the dowel is covered up with the same frame from the inside, but at perpendicular to the passages direction (URBANNATURE-116 Cembrit Metro Naples-df). Mirror surface gives the possibility to make the passage lighter, as if to dilute it in environment. Color air frame from Cembrit adds lines strictness, at the same time preserving lightness. The functional ability of the mirror surface will serve as addition to regulation of road traffic movement. Contact Prokofyev-Archigroup
