Sumit Singhal loves modern architecture. He comes from a family of builders who have built more than 20 projects in the last ten years near Delhi in India. It contributes for the densification of the village, emphasizes the street front defined by its neighboring existing buildings and re-enforces the rural character of the site. Its double flux ventilation allows for continuous air renewal, which prevents energy loss caused by opening windows during Winter. These are oriented to take advantage of solar contribution and to provide particular views. Therefore, the facades are made from boards of “mélèze” (a local type of wood), the inner walls are coated with OSB (which also serves as a cross-bracing system) and the concrete flooring efficiently provides the spread of warmth and a favorable inertia.
