Article source: ZA Architects We have performed preliminary design and working drawings for a private bathhouse, located on a private piece of land not far Kiev.
The shape of the object was suggested by its location in the corner of the plot and by the design assignment which also included the creation of a long swimming pool and a spacious place for relaxation.
Our design solution was to separate the swimming pool from the block that would accommodate the bath itself, the basin, the toilet and the storeroom. In the space between these two blocks we have placed a room for relaxation with a fireplace and two terraces: a smaller one and a bigger one which overlooks the cottage. One unique thing about the working drawings is that they were all made on the basis of a detailed 3D-model, which enabled us to conceal all the necessary equipment (air dehumidifier, storage places, external and internal blocks of the air-conditioner, check-up hatch, lighting, roller blinds, etc). Therefore, the design of the interior and the exterior is absolutely pure and follows the principles of industrial design. Vertical larch shingles that clad the entire building cast shadows on the walls and reduce the heating of the thermal mass by 45%. Contact ZA Architects
