Abstract

These buildings are part of the opening and consolidation of a new urban axis within the current polygon college.
The Building of Epidemiology is the first in a “series” of works to be developed under the same formal matrix, constructive and typological but with different uses and programs.
The Laboratory Building here, is the second in the series to be completed in the future with the construction of the Building of dorms.

Mechanism

Inside each building various (every) subprograms are arranged in blocks of turn around the central courtyard and relate to this through the glazed circulation space.

The definition and characteristics of the subspaces is free and varied: can be open or closed, covered or semi-covered, glazed or opaque.

In the outer perimeter, perimeter walls and stone walls, accompanying the legal system of the plant and meet diverse functions such as supporting, light control, privacy level, etc.

Last but not least, provide consistency of language between the faces of each building and between the “series” of buildings.
