Article source: GLR arquitectos For over 50 years, the Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM), performs this traditional drawing of a luxury home in order to raise funds for scholarships and new buildings on its campus. Currently the Sweepstakes Tec performs four raffles a year, furnished and decorated homes worth more than $ 2 million each.
Located in extensive grounds, this project proposes an architecture clearly contemporary but warm enough to be well received by the public, who ultimately judged the projects through its commercial success. The project is located in an area which by its boundary with other properties, it had great potential of views, so it was made a L shaped pattern, consisting of four elements as blocks with clean lines and sophisticated. This solution achieves the house is self-centered and intimate feeling to the garden, offering an introverted character, which focused views. Within blocks in the first level, are housed, the lobby, formal dining room, breakfast room, kitchen, cinema room and bar combined with family room and space for domestic services. In the upper blocks, thanks to the use of steel beams give the impression of being suspended, is home to the private area, consisting of one room and three bedrooms with their bathrooms and closets. On the other hand, joined the project, elements such as narrow windows, decks also have an aesthetic contribution, give continuity to spaces like the kitchen and the terrace as well as abroad, materials such as stone and steel slab, which define and give warmth to the elements.
