Article source: Ezequiel Farca MU apartment residence is single-story apartment in the exclusive district of Bosques de las Lomas in Mexico City. The design intervention reconfigured the space to better align with the family’s use and personal tastes. Public spaces, such as the dining room, living room, and breakfast room are open to one another and re-oriented toward a breathtaking view of the city.  Image Courtesy Ezequiel Farca The designer blended a clean color palette with organic materials such as elm, oak flooring, resin, and marble to achieve a warm modern aesthetic. Classic international furnishings align with the scale and geometric distribution of the space, resulting in a simple, calming ambiance.  Image Courtesy Ezequiel Farca Custom architectural elements help to reorient the space toward intentional, intimate moments and create poetic interest. The largest of these is a handcrafted resin panel that spans the great room and dining area, dually serving as a dividing wall from the hallway and a work of art. At the entry, a series of louvered wood panels create privacy for an adjacent studio/office, while infusing the space with the warmth of organic material.  Image Courtesy Ezequiel Farca Light plays an important role in the design, with indirect soffit lighting overhead and spectacular ViaVizzuno fixtures that punctuate the minimalist furniture with delightful animation.
