Article source: Alexandre loureiro I’m a Portuguese architect and last December i was awarded the 1st prize Work In Progress competition at the Project CASA’12 event in Porto, Portugal, with the project FoFoFo commissioned by FORBO FLOORING.FoFoFo (stands for Folfing Forbo Folie) is a small stand for a Linoleum producer company – FORBO FLOORING – with the objective to promoted the characteristics of their product (linoleum in this case). The natural material (linoleum) is cutted into 22m long stripes to assure a continuous and voluptuous 3 dimensional pattern that is to be hanged on both walls and ceiling of the MDF structure. The simple joinery of the structure requires no glues, screws or nails due to process of using CNC of the parts (could be interesting to send photos of the assembly process).
