Reconstruction of a Wing of an Existing Building in Chirpan, Bulgaria by Svilen NenchevApril 6th, 2013 by Sumit Singhal
Article source: Svilen Nenchev The reconstruction is focused on an area of approx. 200 square meters – a wing of an existing storage building located in the vicinity of the town of Chirpan, close to main road to Stara Zagora. Surrounded by green fields, agricultural lands and trees, the site offers calm atmosphere and unique panorama.
The prefabricated structural elements /columns, wall panels and composed roof panels/ allow wide construction spans and big distance between the floor and the ceiling which gives more freedom in the reorganization of the areas. The proposed concept includes a front office part /main office room, office for the secretary and an archive/ and a residential part in the rear /bedroom, living-room with a fireplace, bathroom and toilet facilities/. The small kitchenette in the residential part serves as well as a café-bar for drinks for the business clients. A small swimming pool and a reservoir for rain water are among the changes in the garden where as new external stairs will allow access to the roof terrace. The car parking area is located close to the entrance of the plot. Possibilities for the use of solar energy, by placing solar panels on the roof of the building are also included.
