Article source: SzturArchitekten GmbH This Project involves the master plan layout of the sport park Simbirskiy as well as the design of the core buildings. The master plan indicates a recommended basic set up of the facility and anticipates its future development.
– Track, (length 3,700 m, FIA grade 2 with Shortcuts) Pit building, Racecontrol, Administration Building & main grandstand. Each structure and building on the site represents its specific uses. Every single item is elementary in order to properly operate the track. Therefore the goal is to create an architectural form which obviously serves the function. The cladding fronts display the business card of the sport park Simbirskiy. The specific materials used in detail support the effect. Printed glasses and polycarbonate boards provide the necessary theme related visual presentation. Darker materials such as fair faced concrete support that effect with a restrained appearance of the solid structures. By using similar material and color concepts at all buildings, an affiliation is developed without losing the individuality of each building.
