The project stems from a major international competition in which the Principality of Monaco gave the opportunity for private investors to propose an extension of the principle of the sea with the construction of residences, offices, museums, hotels for a gross built-up area of up to 275,000 square meters.

GFA (shon). The investor Monte Carlo Sea Land has commissioned studies Arata Isozaki, Andrea Maffei, Daniel Libeskind and Alexandre Giraldi to develop a master plan and real estate proposals that would allow urban development in proportion to the existing context and in harmony with it.

The architects have proposed a natural extension of the territory, to the extent permitted by the notice, which is characterized by two apparent peninsulas, separated by a center channel on the Venetian model. The residential buildings have been concentrated on the inner channel and the sea on both fronts.

Four buildings characterize the new bridge “Canalgrande and prestigious penthouses over, the traffic of yachts that cross the new lagoon. The two ends of the intervention are emphasized by a 7-star Grand Hotel towards the sea and a science museum to the mainland. In front of the museum was planned marina for the berthing of large yachts and even a pleasant pedestrian promenade connecting directly with the casino.
