Brunner chairs make a difference in the newly renovated Pilatus-Kulm mountain hotel in pilatus, switzerlandJune 26th, 2013 by Sumit Singhal
Article source: Brunner The location is unique and breath-taking: the registered landmark from theBelle Epoque, the Pilatus-Kulm Mountain Hotel, is situated on an exposed mountain face at 6,995 feet above sea level, offering a splendid view of the surrounding summits, and the city of Lucerne way down in the valley. To celebrate its 120th anniversary, the hotel was completely renovated in 2010, and equipped with a new business centre, among other amenities. Still, it has been able to maintain its historic mountain hotel charm, not only thanks to its wooden shutters.
Now the hotel, originally built in 1890, presents itself as a three-star superior venue, offering 27 rooms decorated in modern Alpine style, as well as three select suites. Furnished with noble materials, the rooms constitute a discreetly elegant frame to the fascinating panoramic view taking in the surrounding mountains Timeless furniture design in harmony with the elegant style of the seminar rooms Completely new: the Pilatus business centre for up to 270 participants. Located in the former panorama restaurant, four banquet, conference and seminar rooms feature top-modern equipment and can be combined to form one large room. They offer the possibility to take part in workshops and courses with a truly inspiring perspective and to widely expand one’s career horizon.
Comfortable sitting is a prerequisite for concentrated thinking, committed discussion or attentive listening for any extended period of time. At the Pilatus business centre, seminar participants can take a seat on linos, the delicate sled-base chair by Brunner. Thanks to its classic and timeless design and the warm colour hues of the upholstery, linos perfectly matches the style, both matter-of-fact and elegant, and the warm wooden surfaces of the business centre. In selecting the chairs for the hotel, Felix Rosenkranz with Krucker Partner (Lucerne), responsible for the hotel’s interior decoration, was not only convinced by linos’ design, but also by the “ergonomics of seat and back, and thus by the high-quality seating comfort, as well as by the fact that these chairs are stackable.” linos is available with and without armrests. Seat and back are upholstered, thus providing comfortable seating even during long conferences, banquets, speeches and training sessions. Contact Brunner and amastrippolito@brunnerworks.com
