Nestled in the historic center of Valencia this building appears discreetly contemporary yet fully integrated into the urban fabric and the type of the whole environment. The building seeks to become part of the historic unit. The project has been developed subject to some constraints of a protected heritage environment, including conservation of existing elements of the previous building as the old stones in the corner.

The curtain wall of the facade of great section provides a structural response and integrates all necessary construction elements of the building. This wall produces a container in which model a fluid and bright interior space. All interior spaces are unified to be solved with the same criteria of action powered by the regularity of the materials, and of lighting, screened by wooden blinds.

The penthouse crowns the building, so that the cover is suspended on a strip of glass and lattice. Throughout the project the wall appears as more than just a room divider as it comes alive. The railings of the balconies and overhangs, materialized as a lightweight galvanized steel sheet metal that emerges horizontally from the wall, in contrast to the massiveness of it.

Set in Valencia’s historic center, This contemporary building quietly emerge, although completely integrated to the urban plot and setting to the whole typology. The building searches to be part of the historical center unit. The design has been developed subject to the protected heritage setting conditions, treats including the old building preservation of pre-existing elements as the corner antique stones.

The strong front width Gives a structural wall shutting answer and unifies all the buildings needs constructive elements. This Generates a container wall where we modeled an internal fluid volume and lighted. All the inside eating altogether being solved by the same criteria acting Promoting the materials regularityand the light sifted by wooden lattice.

The attic crowns the building, by this the roof keeps hanging over a band of glass and lattice. In all the design the wall Appears like something else than a room divider, it Becomes to life. The handrails and balconies Have Been materialized as galvanized steel sheets metallic light That emerges horizontally from the wall, contrasting With its strength.
