Article source: JUAN CARLOS DOBLADO The house in La Jolla is placed on the beach of the same name off the coast of the Pacific. The land has a natural / artificial dichotomy, as is opposite a pond built large-scale fashion strip between the condo and the sea. Part of the land has a 1.80 meter embankment acts as a containment pond.
The programmatic organization provides a first intimate level grouping seven bedrooms with their own bathrooms . The facade of this floor is from a habitable thickness comprised closets and bathrooms which in turn protect register windows from the outside. The second level has a public vocation , with a terrace in contact with the upper edge of the lagoon and other social environments by enhancing the view over the landscape. This whole floor is ” separated ” from first by ” burnish ” architectural evidence that both vocations program . The hall, double height , is the environment that spatially integrates both levels.
