Article source: Atelier Kempe Thill In the next decade the new city quarter “Antwerp Nieuw-Zuid” will be realized along the river Schelde in the Southwest of Antwerp as a high-quality extension of the historic city centre.  Image Courtesy © Atelier Kempe Thill The housing project will contain 32 flexible winter garden apartments and commercial spaces on the ground floor built on a collective parking garage. The apartments vary in size from 40m2 up to more than 160m2 and have all an excellent outside space of more than 25m2 that can be closed during the rainy season with movable glass partitions. The apartments will be realized as low-energy passive housing for a relatively low building price of approximately € 1.250/m2.
