Located on the banks of the river Seine, facing Ile Saint-Germain, the project meets the requirements of highly demanding sustainable development specifications.

With their simple volumetry, the specificity of the housing units lies in the handling of the external spaces which extend beyond the facades to create zinc “boxes” positioned to take advantage of the views and sunlight.

The use of a concrete double wall providing both an attractive finish and insulation is a first for this type of high density programme. To ensure urban coherence, the residential hotel is constructed from the same materials.

The three buildings create transparencies through a patio opening onto the river Seine.

Founded in Paris in January 2001, the PietriArchitectes agency creates buildings  for both public and private works. Situated on Rue de Valois, in the heart of Paris, around twenty employees work on all kinds of projects throughout France and are able to produce Mediterranean architecture in keeping with southern French landscapes.

The agency also develops facilities such as the Harbourmaster’s Office at La Londe Les Maures, the Public Services Office in Aulnay-sous-Bois and, in 2008, the agency delivered the Horizontal Tower in Milan, home of the international fair (21,000 m² SHON). Their mission is to offer contemporary architecture that fits its surroundings, combining a soft modern touch that breaks with the radical nature of reconstruction.
