The Project is located in the First Row of a plot right beside a Crystal Lagoon artificial lagoon, in La Jolla, in Lima, in a 300.00m2 terrain.
The proposal contemplates the development of a beach residence with two floors plus a basement.
The main entrance to the house is located on the first level were we find the pedestrian access on the right side, seen from the back.
The concept was to create a house that could enjoy the lagoon in front of which it is located, with the sea as background scenery.
The house seeks to be as transparent as possible to take advantage of the scenery, but a skin formed of plates with varying thickness was added. The same way as the colonial-era balconies in Lima allowed having a filter to “see but not be seen”, this resource gave the house a filter from the exterior that can defend it from physical and social exposure.
Its distribution, allows to create a stone base were the intimate zones and dormitories are located, and in the upper level of the lagoon the social zones is placed.
This part of the house is flexible and allows the integration of the terraces, the living room and the dining room to form a grand space.
The array has a plinth in fine strips of machine-cut talamoye stone and the upper part is a glass box that protects itself with the plaques in the manner of a balcony. At the back, to distinguish the difference of the architectural program of the house, a box is located with who additional, more protected and closed, dormitories.
At the house´s interior you have a reception area, a living room, 2 bedrooms with bathrooms and closets, 2 main bedrooms with complete bathrooms and walk-in closets. There is a service stair that joins the ground floor (level +/-0.00m) with the house´s basement (level -3.00m), composed by two service bedrooms with bathroom, closet, a laundry area, and the pump room plus a cistern.
A main staircase joins the Ground Floor (level +/-0.00m) with the First Floor (level +3.00m) and its social area.
The First Floor (level +3.00m) is accessed from the previously mentioned staircase which arrives into the social area-dining room that is integrated with the terrace, a living room, a barbeque zone, and the swimming pool. To the other side of the house we find the kitchen, guest bathroom, closet, and a main bedroom with complete bathroom and closet.
