Concept

Finer Things – A rare bottle of wine improves with age and is not intended to be devoured, but rather sipped and savoured. These clients have reached that enviable stage in life where there is more time to slow down and appreciate everything they have worked hard to achieve. Their home needed to be reflective of this new time in their lives, a place to entertain family and friends, to share a bottle of wine and enjoy the finer things in life.

For this project, it was all about the details. Intricate tile patterns, light fixtures and the staircase all exemplify exquisite detail and elements of glamour and refinement.

Interesting Elements

  • Hand oiled Brazilian Cumaru hardwoods throughout main floor and staircase
  • Natural limestonstone mosaic tiles with metallic accents were designed to frame bathroom mirrors and shower patterns in a more interesting and detailed fashion
  • Light and dark cabinet finishes were paired in the kitchen/wine bar to create a sense of contrast and drama, providing dimension and openness to an otherwise long room
