“The metal wall and roof panels gave us the look we wanted for the Stillhouse,” said Clark Barnette, AIA at Barnette Bagely Architects who served as architects of the Stillhouse. “There are several traditional rickhouses on the property and the corrugated panels allowed us to match the existing buildings.”

The LEED Gold project recycled 25% of building materials and diverted more than 80% of the construction materials from landfills. Other sustainable features include occupancy sensors and control panels with built-in timers to regulate lighting throughout the facility to save energy. Low-flow water fixtures reduce water usage by 50% annually in the Stillhouse.
“Metal roof and wall panels are great building materials,” says Barnette. “They offer supreme durability, a unique look and are sustainable thanks to their recyclability.”

The Stillhouse exterior features 11,800 square feet of 22 gauge, 7/8” Corrugated wall panels in Old Zinc Grey with custom-painted Jim Beam branding on the front facade. The visual interest is continued inside the building with 11,475 square feet of 22 gauge, 7/8” Corrugated perforated interior wall panels in Old Zinc Grey acting as an interior liner. The Stillhouse is topped with more than 7,500 square feet of 22 gauge, 16” striated Vertical Seam roof panels in Slate Grey and Matte Black. TL-17 soffit panels in Matte Black provide the finishing touch and seamlessly match the look of the structure. All panels feature a PVDF (Kynar 500®) color finish.

All of the panel colors from Metal Sales are listed with ENERGY STAR®, improving energy-efficiency and reducing the amount of energy needed for cooling. The panels also have a long life span of 50 years or more, are 100% recyclable and contain a high percentage of recycled material – contributing to LEED points. In addition to its products, Metal Sales boasts a 50-year heritage of outstanding customer service.
