Article source: OHArchitecture “The home which makes a life style rich” It is a remodeling project of the rental apartment in Nagaokakyo-shi, Kyoto. From the situation around a site, and the present occupant’s situation, it was expected that middle of the 30 years old from late 20 years old is main as for a occupant’s age group.
Our proposal was to provide “the place of the hobby which makes a life style rich” to such target layer. The age of a target layer has many people who had assistant at work and whose income is also stable, and is a person who can spend money on a hobby. Goes out for cycling or mountain climbing on the day of a holiday, or enjoys gardening and the baking sweets, By freeing one’s favorite thing, a daily stress can be reset and it can be devoted to work. We made one box indoors, in order to secure the space of such a favorite hobby. We considered a residence that inside of this box became a living room, and when it came out of the box one step, there is a space of a hobby. The space which can use space freely by dividing into the space of a living room and others was secured. The residence which a occupant can customize each in their own way was completed.
