This house consists of two family units for the client and his parents and five rental apartment units.
The family block, made of reinforced concrete structure, is located in front while the apartment block, made of steel structure, is located in the back. Exterior walls of the apartment block are made of glass blocks with ALC (autoclaved lightweight concrete) panels used in some parts for seismic reinforcement. The family block is made of reinforced concrete. Lightness and heaviness of the two blocks create a sharp contrast on the site and the same applies to the interior spaces, reflecting different life styles of each of the residents.
