The building houses a primary school Het Palet, a kindergarten, a creche and extramural activities. Next to this a number of child healthcare organisations are housed as well.
The entrance hall is he connector in the building, this is the place where meetings for school or neighboorhood can have place. The subborn design makes the building recognizeable for the users and as a markingpoint in the neighbourhood. By using bricks and roof tiles hte building fits in the realm of the neighbourhood. The school is a so called ‘frisse school’ , this means that there is the possibility for extra cooling and ventilation in the building. For the used materials the criterium was low-maintenance and sustainable. The users are very happy to work and relax in the building. Contact Schaap en Sturm architecten
