The Future of Prefabricated Wooden Homes by marc benjamin drewes ARCHITEKTURENOctober 24th, 2014 by Sumit Singhal
Article source: marc benjamin drewes ARCHITEKTUREN In our opinion the future of prefabricated wooden houses is a simple but well reasoned solid construction without any glue or synthetic elements. This leads not only to real sustainability, but creates a pleasant indoor climate and a friendly atmosphere.
The proposed single family house offers 2-3 rooms on ground level and an open living room with kitchen and eating space on the top floor. The generosity of the space is increased by large-size windows in walls and roof together with the opening gesture of the sloped roof itself. The serving functions are concentrated along side one outer wall. The rest of the space can be organized without any constraints. The project received the 2nd prize in the Design the Future 2014 competition organized by Marlegno Prefabricated Wooden Buildings. Category: House |
