Article source: Demax A quite remarkable traditional staircase based on the Demax steel staircase system. Installing staircases into existing properties are never easy, especially when they are this large.
Space and access was always going to be an issue, as such the original designs and subsequent build were completed in stages with much smaller parts than normal. Whilst time on site was increased, this allowed the Demax Installation team to manage the project and access issues during completion. The steel skeleton was rendered to give the effect of a staircase which was much older and more traditional that it actually was. The American White Oak treads give superb high class finish and are a timeless classic, adding sophistication to any project. The balustrade is quite different, our very own Gothic Arch design, which works equally well on both cut or straight string stairs. This was fabricated in various lengths for ease of installation. You can even have a bottom balustrade rail as shown on this particular set of traditional stairs or fixed directly to the stair. It is popular and elegant in design especially for something as large and grand as The Ridgeway. Contact Demax
