Miami the world renowned attractor point for diverse cultures, design and arts, surrounded by beaches and water, set the motive and theme of the piece, – crystallization and fluids.

Building upon Aranda/Lasch investigations into material organizations, in which parts communicate with one another through an intelligence built-in through modularity and computation, the work introduces fluid elements into a system of set basic primitives.

The parametric relationship between the components, which allow small parts to grow into larger assemblies, is maintained for data organization, but “infused” by a series of fluid elements, which only share the bounding boxes of the original primitives.
This gentle modification cracks the unyielding, harsh faceted aesthetics of the underlying design organization and submerges it with a notion of softness which breaks with the visual rigidity of a purely crystalline system.
