We tried our best to provide a solution for a project that wanted to be more than a house, a home that offers it’s owners the capacity to disconnect from the busy lifestyle of a big city.  Image Courtesy © 49Studio The image of “house P” lies between the details that give the project a precious note to, in it’s essence a simple house, the project didn’t want to give new ideas or for what it-s worth anything out of the ordinary, being a decent home built with a relatively small budget. Actually that made our job a bit more difficult because we had to find the details that would a significant contribution to the overall picture and state that this was not just a house but a project built with passion and devotion.  Image Courtesy © 49Studio Although the functional layout is a classic one for a small home, we used functional elements that belong to traditional households rather than a modern house. Our decision was to make a clear separation between the living space and the technical space. So in a separate connected with the house through a porch we placed all of the functional spaces and the cellar, things that are common vernacular architecture.  Image Courtesy © 49Studio The simple story that this home wants to state is that of a young family that is trying to build a home that shows small parts of their beliefs about the value of life.
