Article source: JC Bonham We where asked to conceive a building that contained a public civic center as well as emergency residences. The facility is located in the midpoint between a school area and a public service zone. The building attempts to occupy the maximum surface possible in order to create a inner public square, since the surrounding neighborhoods are lacking of one.
Since the plot is a big slope, several paths are created that lead to the project. The building is a programmatic spiral that joins all these paths. The residential tower is disposed perpendicular to the plot to avoid casting shadows on the square and receiving natural sunlight all day. The outer skin of the building is design to hide deliberately the inside of the building, creating a element of surprise when the user enters the facility. Special Thanks to 4RGO (www.4rgo.com), who where able to capture the essence of this place and provide some really great visuals for the project. Share this:RelatedContact JC Bonham
