Article source: vPPR Architects The project involves the refurbishment of a 145sqm mid-terraced Chelsea property from a single bedroom house to a three bedroom family home. The reconfiguration and new kitchen extension on the ground floor allow the upper two floors to be freed up for bedrooms and bathrooms.
The sunken kitchen extension is linked to the living room by a wide stair creating a strong visual connection between the two spaces, ideal for family living. The spaces can also be closed off to each other with concealed sliding pocket doors. The kitchen is both top lit by a large skylight and side lit by a new window onto the street creating a bright and spacious room. Contact vPPR Architects
