Article source: AE5 Partners Santo Spirito apartment, located in Florence, consists essentially of two rooms: the living room and its mezzanine with double bedroom and the dining room and its little mezzanine with single room. The project was conceived and structured entirely around a matrix of 6,5 cm that affects all three dimensions: in this way, a “tri dimensional space” is created, whose perception changes according to the point of view.
The whole space is characterized by a maple wood fitted wall, divided into modules, that continues up to the ceiling and is perfectly aligned to the scheme of the flooring; in the living room the modules of the wall have been slightly rotated in order to increase the spatial depth of the environment, when viewed from the wall with windows. This effect is even more emphasized by the glass loft that, visually separating the loft of double bedroom from the wooden wall, leads the glance up to the maximus height of the space. Under the loft, on the other hand, where are placed armchairs and sofa, space becomes closer and more intimate. Thanks to the creation of fitted wall and to the careful attention to details, it was possible to keep a high level of visual quality and, at the same time, provides the home with all the spaces needed for daily living. The materials characterizing the project are mainly maple wood, used for the fitted wall, wenge wood flooring and sandstone as cladding of toilets. Contact AE5 Partners
