Article source: Gustav Appell Arkitektkontor This private house is shaped as simple volumes contrasting the dramatic topography and the leafy greenery of the surroundings. The development restrictions of the site and the beautiful, tall oak trees did not allow for any standardized solutions. Instead the limitations became the starting point for the initial sketches. The result is a white L-shaped wooden house framing a secluded courtyard. The geometry of the house makes the most of the surrounding views, maximizes the development rights and creates a terrace high among the branches of the oak-trees.
