Article source: pRchitect communications consultancy Kayseri is a trade-based historical city at the center of Anatolia / Turkey which holds one of the Anatolia’s most magnificent topographies: Erciyes Mountain.
The Mountain is a center for the winter sports and recreation thus a master plan work has started by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality to improve the potential and make an attraction point for the region which lives all through the year. Erciyes Congress Center Project is located on the coast of Tekir Lake as a part of Master Plan of Erciyes Tourism Center. Erciyes Mountain is also an important item for the project as much as for the region. The concept comes up with the idea of creating a functional shell which repeats the topography of the site and also is able to bring the roof snow down easily at this hard winter climate area. The building program involves an auditorium of 2100 people; a conference hall of 1000 people; three multifunctional meeting halls of 240 people, 240 people and 480 people; prom – cocktail areas, restaurant and technical spaces. Social parts like entrance halls, foyer or restaurant is opened to Tekir Lake and Erciyes Mountain through the lake. As an interpretation of the topography; the faulted shell structure starts from the ground, covers all of the functions and meets the lake with an open air platform. Contact MuuM
