Student accommodation in Hagenberg, Austria by TWO IN A BOX – ARCHITEKTEN ZT GMBHNovember 3rd, 2015 by Sumit Singhal
Article source: TWO IN A BOX – ARCHITEKTEN ZT GMBH Student accommodation at Hagenberg – a studying and living environment of the highest quality. A new generation of student accommodation will open soon nearby Campus Hagenberg, Upper Austria. The TWO IN A BOX Architekten rely on prime quality. The concept of having separate showers, a communal fridge filled with food beyond expiry date or of sharing a 15 m2 big, early 80s style room with a room mate has been completely outdated.
In October this year a new generation of student accommodation will be introduced at Hagenberg. The apartments on the ground floor are fully furnished featuring: a convertible sofa, a fitted kitchen, bath/WC and everything right down to decorations including direct access to the outside via the terrace, SAT-TV and a high-speed internet connection. “Time to be sportive” is possible in the common room while playing table tennis, “time to chill” is offered at the picnic site for barbecuing and in the garden with handsome lounge furniture. What reads like a new designer hotel is actually a description of the newly opened student accommodation at Hagenberg only 500 meters away from Campus Hagenberg. The philosophy of the new student accommodation is simply a cool design and high quality: a perfect mixture of student life and privacy. So far two identical houses with 16 apartments (twelve shared flats and four apartments for singles) have been built, yet the possibility of a third house on a neighbouring lot is thinkable. “When you start studying it is like starting a new chapter in your life which is exciting and stressful at once. We know that from our own personal experience. These student accommodation houses offer everything you need to feel at home. They enable you to get in contact with other students rather quickly and still provide you with enough space to pursue your studies,” say two strongly convinced general managers of TWO IN A BOX Architekten, Andreas Fiereder and Christian Stummer. The project has been financed by Immomanagement GmbH. The location is a one-off: surrounded by green at the edge of Hagenberg, the two houses are situated only 50 meters from a pond and a sports hall. The north side of the building provides parking spaces and the south side a garden for relaxation. In the south, the four-storey houses are built into the slope. A balance with nature and landscape has been successfully achieved by means of hanging wood façades and complete heat insulation. This new housing concept offers students a much greater comfort than in previous student accommodations. Categories: ArchiCAD, Residential |
