Article source: Archiplan studio The recovery intervention leaves intact the building and its interior and exterior. The materials are carefully resealed and kept in the condition in which they have been built, with the idea of giving form to the abstract concept of time. The only modifications made in the building consist of the reconstruction of the roof with white tiles and the added of a kitchen accessory.
There is a large table of 6.50 meters in length and it becomes a place where prepare the food, a place where the meals are eaten and where people could do their homework, recovering and reinventing the tradition way of living in a Italian home. We try to maintain essentially together the two worlds, that of the old and the new, in an equilibrium capable of maintaining the identity of both, in which light and shade are maintained in their ambiguity and plurality, without sacrificing the reasons of one to the expense of the other. The accuracy of the day, and the sensuality of the night held together by a narrative that fit them taduce able to contain the high degree of ambiguity.
