Residence renovation and addition of a new building in Athens, Greece by Proestos DESIGN

The residence is located in the northern suburbs of Athens, in three floors within an extensive and varied than 3000m² plot vegetation. The customer wanted to upgrade the exterior sides of the existing building and inside the main living rooms, and expressed the need to add new autonomous residence that balance building factor.

In aerial distinguished sharply circumscribed the surrounding area of the house with dotted line the position of the new building’s ground floor.

In each illustration, the status quo is in the left part of the image and the new proposal is developed in the right pane. Under the Greek New Construction Regulation only permitted constructions mentioning pergolas shading the plant support, without strong components. Generally we tried to keep outside and inside the already classic style of the residence with modern interventional solutions. Important note is the extension of the roof with wooden purlins support, where possible.
