The exceptional and particularly innovative conditions of living given by the « Hauts plateaux » project, phases 1&2, makes it « primum inter pares » and give a clear and new proposal for the housing issue. This project means to create new conditions of living, in which one can find on one hand the desire to live in collective and comfortable housing and on the second hand the necessity of intimacy. It gives the qualities and the liberties of an individual house in collective structure, inside an urban agglomeration. This project carries the idea of the evolution of life of the people, it aims to offer pleasure of living. In this sense, it is sustainable.
Each of the 2 buildings is made of an innovative structure of precast concrete. Indeed, it offers a great capacity in terms of dimensions and carrying in order to give the maximum of space to the inhabitants. They will benefit from the generous dimensions of spaces, larges floors and surfaces. That structure is studied to give the opportunity to create true soil garden at each floor. The projects propose a particular climatic attention. It aims to reach the performance level of low-energy label BBC, while being intimately related and opened to its environment and climate.
1. The first, « Les Hauts Plateaux 1 », is a housing operation of 20 dwellings, 20 social ownership units, delivered in 2016 with the status of ‘sale before completion’ (VEFA). It really improves living conditions because each dwelling is evolving and the living spaces are particularly generous. The dwellings are given the opportunity to be extended by the inhabitants. Each of the dwellings has an additional area made for eventual extensions, on the Northern and Southern side. These facilities allow the housing to evolve, and give to the inhabitants the opportunity to make their home changing with the needs of life.
2. The second, « Les Hauts Plateaux 2 », whom the construction is about to start, is a new proposal of a vertical garden city about twelve units, in which each family will build its own home in a collective concrete structure.
