Article source: Badia Berger Architects How open can closed be? The first objective is to allow the city of Serris (Marne la Vallée) into the heart of the building by lengthening existing axes and adopting vectors from the city horizontally and vertically.
It is the public place, as portal, that bends the rigid lines, punctures the walls, lifts the structure up, and deepens the line of sight behind the façade. Typical of the precise blueprints, the compact mass of the volumes is cu open by successive patios tha bring transparency into the innermost core of the building. Program Classrooms, auditoriums, exam halls, administration and large areas for professional restaurant and hotel training programs (10 kitchens and 2 restaurants), a pedagogic hotel and half pension for 1.500 studients.
