Article source: Nicola G Design Nicola Ghilardi meets his friend Alessandro, returning in Italy after a demanding and intense barman experience in some London pubs and dreaming about opening his own pub in Italy, to be able to propose his cocktails, his beers, his burgers & eggs and his Tea-Time…. and he’s dreaming, dreaming, dreaming And, suddenly, it breaks out the Mad Hatter, the architect character, creating a magic potion Challenges. The Mad Hatter Architect catches sight of Alice, fallen in the White Rabbit hole, drinking the “DRINK ME” magic potion…. and here is where all the magic to create a fantastic place, where anything could happen, any spell could become reality. The design is based on the idea of revisiting a traditional old English pub and, by sprinkling it with the magical powder, transform it in the Wonderland, where to meet Alice and her friends. The final result places the customer sipping a drink, totally absorbed by the fairy tale, sailing between rabbits, grass walls, huge clocks and teapot-shaped lamps, yet in a typical Old London pub atmosphere, standing at the Victorian bar, shedding a multicoloured light illuminating his astonished face while, enchanted, he’s looking at the Union Jack suspended in the trees.
