Article source: Jantzen Studio The four arches pavilion was designed as a special interactive, prefabricated, modular, painted wood retreat structure. it consists of two large arch shaped frames set over each other, and two more placed into a horizontal position under those, and attached to an elevated wood deck. each of the arch shaped frames are fitted with metal cylindrical cabinets, which contain rolls of white fabric. the fabric can be automatically or manually pulled back and forth through the arch shaped frames, in order to manipulate the quality of the environment surrounded by the four arches.
Various seating benches and tables are built into and around the perimeter of the deck, along with a cylindrical shaped storage cabinet. the four arches pavilion can also be fitted with solar panels for an off the grid electrical supply, and since the entire structures design is based of a prefabricated system of components, it can be increased in size to accommodate a multitude of alternative uses.
