This project is a project for a house to be built on a slope. More precisely is an extension of an existing house.

The particular shape of the ground suggested us to design a different level house, and this is the main character of its architecture.

“We think such an architecture can be suitable to be considered an XS architecture because is really “small” and because its architecture, simple and minimal but particular for the shape and the materials, can assume a meaning itself, despite of its dimensions.”
“A simple architecture can become complex”

The house is developing itself on 3 levels: a low level occupied by a garage for cars, a central level with the living room and a terrace and an upper level with the rooms. A swimming pool is placed on the side of the house.

For the particular location in the nature and in particular on a sloped lawn the house has openings and windows on every side except for the one facing the road.

We think that the “simplicity “ of the design is its particularity and that this simplicity is the way to transform a small architecture in an interesting architecture and a simple composition of white volumes can be can be enough to define a space in itself and a space in the environment.

The house is though as box volumes built with white painted concrete walls and glass.

The architectonic language is minimal but expressive, the shapes are pure and that sometimes it’s enough.

The house should be built in 2017.
