The concept, Wabi-Sabi, from Japanese aesthetics is the principle in the project. The materials with texture of modesty, rustic and asymmetry are used as the main substance in the space, trying to create an unrefined and lean atmosphere. Through the peculiarity of imperfection, the inhabitant are led to discern the hidden beauty of the truly excellence and here they can find their pure sanctuary from the turmoil world.
Main Material: oak veneered brushed and painted、special hand painting, German cement paint, titanium metal, Belgium chalkboard paint, grey glass, panDOMO, Engineered flooringns and thoughts are subside and dissolved into the state of serenity of heart.
Step into the space, the conception of regularity, proportion and linear from Modernism are adopt as the main factors to the frame. With the structures of the boxes, the corridor, the flake shape, the geometrical skills reveal the harmony and balance from regularity.
Among the freely-painted grey in the space, the deep and rustic blue on the single wall, brushed by the well-experienced painter with unique skill, brings understated-elegance and delight to the viewers. It is like the whisper by the poet floating through every tranquil corner.
The only red element is the cabinet on the wall in living room. It is the glitter among the grey tone space, the metaphor that refers to the passion hidden deeply in one’s heart after all the vicissitude of life.
Through the ingenious decoration with the collected antique furniture and accessories, the designer brings to the space the serenity coming with age. Every corner is one significant view like the traditional Chinese ink paintings from ancient period, which create the sentiments of serenity and peace into the place.
Through the space it tells one story, walking from exterior to interior is like from this mortal life to one’s heart, all the emotions and thoughts are subside and dissolved into the state of serenity of heart.
