Article source: LM ARKYLAB The project is located in La Herradura a 60`s residential complex on the City of Aguascalientes, near the San Pedro River on the west side, this allows to have some rare vegetation with tree stands than the rest of the city.
TCH house was planned in an area with pre-existence of two large ash trees that determined the volumes of the project. The use of schedule also demands unusual spaces for a residential house in combination with some executive activities , so almost two zones were developed in one level, first working spaces and on the other the privacy of the household itself. The volumes are accumulated on the north side of the property in order to give everyone a south or east orientation space, looking for a suitable climate confort for different activities without additional energy consumption. Garden from different scale are open in central areas to find a visual wideness and thereby generate a perception of greater spaciousness. The iron structure is part of the formal expression and with the concrete and wood pallet material creates a natural and honest show. The residence is erected on a 1,100m2 lot , volumes come in different height that respond to the various scheduled uses. The design was conceived as a respond to a very different program of conventional house, crated for a corporate company which requires a lounge for events and an office room. This construction is built to the north of the property to benefit from the south orientation and direct all the spaces to this area. The location of the two big ash trees in the lot was the starting point for the space distribution , generating subtractions that induce a dynamic dialog between interior and exterior.
