 Image Courtesy © Ilya Ivanov The residence is located 60 minutes and 60 kilometres from Moscow near the city of Chekhov. An area of 210 hectares accommodates an educational campus (10 ha) and a science-art park which is in the process of construction designed by Askar Ramazanov and Sander Lap (a Dutch landscape and urban planning studio). The buildings of the educational campus are designed by several Russian architects, including the international architectural bureau Meganom, Archiproba Studios, and other notable studios. In 2017 an info pavilion and entrance gates were built and several art-objects which will be completed in 2018. The art-objects of the residence are the best illustration of Renaissance of the Renaissance (or a new digital/natural renaissance) – the synthesis of the humanities and digital arts, new modern methods of production (digital fabrication), using robotic and AI technologies. Currently, more than 30 Russian and international scientists, media artists and architects work on the project of the science and creative residence. A meeting place for business community leaders, academic community leaders, IT entrepreneurs and leaders in creative industries. The modern infrastructure of the campus is already actively used by innovative technology companies, scientific institutions, business clubs, law firms, creative and communication agencies. More than 50 educational weekend events, week-long worktation sessions and corporate retreats have happened at the residence in 2017, visited by more than one thousand people. The unique environment of the residence – well suited for restoring the work-life balance, as well as for group or individual development – plays the primary role in attracting residents to stay.
