Article source: Vanguarda Arquitectos The house was placed on two lots, reaching 3080.11 m2 and connected through the back area. The lots don’t have a linear relation but are connected by an angle that was profited by means of a particular deployment.
An articulation was thus generated through the pool, which -due to its shape- creates a connection of the volumes; in turn, the relative position of such volumes is deployed to achieve the best orientations and views to the lush vegetation. The house’s particular features included a harmonious relation with the primary elements: water (the house has two ponds designed by specialists, with falls and an amazing pool); fire (expressed in the pool and in a special bonfire sector for meetings) and air (the house’s position and orientation allows for the typical winds of the area, together with the sunlight, to improve the family’s quality of life). The house’s size (1200 m2) and the lot’s special features represented a challenge that we believe has been met from the architectural point of view, building a house that looks important but whose size does not affect the harmony of the adjoining houses. A linear axis was thus obtained, responding to the geometry of the first lot and articulating the garage for seven cars and all the services in the basement. It also includes the main access on the Ground Floor, with an inner patio that offers ventilation to the service room. There is also a study with bathroom, guest room, reception toilet and service areas. On the other axis are the family private areas, as well as the swimming pool and the galleries. Finally, the house has a fully equipped gym with a counter-current device for swimming and top level in all finishings. Contact Vanguarda Arquitectos
