Article source: YURIY ZIMENKO The apartment in the heart of Kiev from Yuri Zimenko is both a classic and its rethinking, while playing on contrasts and working with the smallest details and nuances. The result is a space that is filled with textures, drawings, shades and intricate objects, looking at which you want again and again.
Having brought up the children, the customer decided to \”live for themselves\”, so the main request for designers was comfort in the house and a calm atmosphere. The style of the American classics was chosen together with the customer. Another sympathy of the client was complicated lush patterns – \”cucumbers\”, which became one of the main motives of the whole project. Living room and I want to call \”red\”, while this color is not found anywhere in it. The upholstery of the armchair is rather claret, wallpaper on the wall with a complex floral ornament is red-brown, like a rusty puzzle table, which is the author’s design work of Yuri Zimenko’s studio. The curtains in the English cell let warm light into the room and create a somewhat solemn and bourgeois atmosphere. Ochristo-brown gamma is sustained in other rooms. Even the piercing blue accents in the bedroom do not disturb the overall harmony. A separate mention deserves a kitchen, the facades of which are made of wood with a rich texture. The kitchen is complemented by decorative panels in the dining area and bathroom. These elements are also made according to the design and sketches of the studio, as well as interior doors, cabinets in the bathrooms, built-in wardrobes, a table in the living room, and much more. For the project, only American furniture was used, bringing to the interiors the luxury and sophistication of art deco. Another interesting finding is the abundance of crystal – its brilliance complements the textured and opaque surfaces. Contact YURIY ZIMENKO
