This Project is about a mini house renovation in Paris, we’ve call it « Little Paris ».

The tiny house was built inside in a corner of a small courtyard in a central neighborhood of the capital.

When we enter the house it was an empty 4,2m high space.

The client needed : a bathroom, a kitchen a livingroom and a bedroom, all to place inside a 13m² footprint !

To fit the program, we had to create a mezzanine and place the bedroom on it.

The space upstairs and the overall volume was quite small and we needed a railing that could be strong enough to prevent falls, be as transparent as possible without being made by glass and maybe become the heart of the project.

Also, a minimal Corten steel stair made with 1 sheet of metal rises up to the mezzanine and  it should be renforced.

We decided so to use synthetic yellow ropes to solve this problems.

They offer a completely open space, a strong safety system and let you read the height of this small space.

They also support the steel stair giving it more rigidity.

We decided to use brushed Travertino stone to cover all the floor surface and bathroom walls.

In the bedroom, due to lack of space the bed itself became a joinery element that incorporates a large storage space inside. On each side of the bed, there is a closet to have even more space.

All the woodwork is in walnut.

The result is an amazingly functional tiny house where these yellow cables are in contrast with the overall minimal and sober design.
