Article source: Maestro Pier Luigi Pizzi The passion for quality and innovation, together with respect for tradition, makes of Hi Contract an ideal partner. It gave the company the opportunity to be chosen by The Merchant of Venice for the design of sophisticated mono-brand stores. From 2016, stores have opened in Verona, Milan and Florence. With a combination of the most modern technologies and craftsmanship, the contractor of Treviso transforms woods and other composite materials into volumes, surfaces and extraordinary objects of excellent qualities. It gives life to a suggestive and exclusive environment, from the wood of the structure and personalized trays for bottles to the carpets up to the lighting. Every detail of the furniture was created by the Hi Contract expert and dynamic team.
There are history and culture at the base of The Merchant of Venice project, a fascinating combination for a product of excellence. The brand recalls the ancient art of perfume that originated in the city of Venice and its trade with the Far East. The historical and valuable brand is expressed in precious fragrances conceived by the olfactory skills of master perfumers who reinterpret ancient recipes. Sophisticated creations that derive from it are contained in precious bottles inspired by the millenary art of Murano glass. The Merchant of Venice concept draws inspiration and reaches culmination from the first Perfume Museum. It was strongly desired by Mavive and created thanks to an agreement between the historic Venetian perfume company and the Venetian Civic Museums Foundation. Uniqueness, culture and elegance are The Merchant of Venice’s key values. They are told through the details of exclusive collections that are divided into a wide range of Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette, products for the person and the domestic environment. Milano In the centre of Brera district, The Merchant of Venice new boutique, inaugurated in 2017, is the fifth store to open after the one in Verona. Located in via Brera 4, the store is a real \”cameo\” among the boutiques of the area. It was designed by Maestro Pier Luigi Pizzi, one of the most important theatrical stage designers in the world. He was in charge of the restyling and design of the Palazzo Mocenigo Museum in Venice with the innovative Museum Path of the Perfume from which the same project The Merchant of Venice was born. The store is an innovative and has a high-impact retail concept. Starting from the shop windows and then inside the boutique, the client is immersed in a scenography with strong theatrical suggestions that also refers to the nearby La Scala Theatre. The furnishing with neoclassical and linear forms are made unmistakable by the characteristic Venetian red, already an institutional colour of the artistic perfumery young brand. Firenze In the centre of the shop stands a newsstand with Corinthian columns and gilded capitals that frames a giant perfume bottle of the line. At the base of it, you can create a personalized fragrance using notes of an olfactory organ exhibited in the Museum Collection. Murano The mude’s travel map, silk-screened in gold on one of the shop’s lateral mirrors, the olfactory organ and an interactive station are always the key elements of the brand’s visual culture and tell the story of the Venetian perfume tradition. Elements with gold finishing work as a support to present the marvellous collections of the brand with the characteristic decorated Murano glass. It’s also enhanced by a special lighting that intensify its transparency and colours. Verona Contact The Merchant of Venice
