Article source: Leo Romano Few traits define the architecture of Paes Leme house. Two blocks define the entire project. The house is grounded and has its volume and carved details that enable a softness of its set. The eaves are generous and sloping. The volumes are finalized by loose walls leaving the architecture more flowed and authorial. Some other walls are extended. Among the slab covering and closing walls, a recess runs along the perimeter. The floor is also loosened soil. These details give autonomy and identity for the facades.
The project is fairly straight forward way down, easily revealing all rooms. From the street, a social hall of welcomes the residents. To the outside, the openings are protected by a large brise, ensuring privacy. From inside, all spaces communicate and open to recreation area through large doors, allowing an intense usability integration and visual permeability of the house. With nearly 500m2, the house was built in Quirinopolis, a small town in the interior of Goiás. Its location was no impediment to the development of contemporary Brazilian architecture. The proposal was developed and execute exactly aimming for a precise result of the set. The interior design follows the architectural line, and few materials ensure the expressiveness of the set. The Decoration, Brazilian furniture are arranged in a sober and cozy compositiom. The House Paes Leme expresses the passion of the architect for the design and its constant desire to not repeat projects.
