The origin. Since the beginning of the project we were captivated by the idea of making a display window façade that could function as protection for the interior –the natural function of any façade- and at the same time be able to display a product in it. Breaking away from the conventional commercial glass façade that allows us to see into it without any further ambition.

Our client wanted an iconic showroom because of its location within the city. We focused on that.

The composition. The chair’s dimension, one of the company’s products, a company which distributes all types of office furniture, set the tone for the composition. The mission focused on accommodating as many chairs as possible in the new showcase’s structure. The triangular grid turned out to be the most efficient to do so, divided in three horizontal sections it optimally blurred the store’s intermediate level, which is composed by only two floor plans, giving it a new urban scale.

Inspiration in the color.  Spain; originating country of the ACTIU brand, with whom ORGANITEC began 28 years ago, is distinguished by the particular yellow color in its flag, we found important to take this yellow in representation of its origins that in conjunction with a vermillion tone, characteristic of the Actiu brand, gave the imagined contrast, necessary to raise the curiosity of passersby and drivers of the area.
